Client info is just used for the reporting functions of this application. You can only add client information about known locations. In fact, the first item you see is a drop down list of all the locations in the form of Client : Position pairs. Every client can have multiple positions, and all of the positions will be lised. The Full Legal Name of the same client will probably be the same.
If it is the first time, you enter information about this client, default values will be displayed for Travel Time, Travel(Fixed Cost) etc. There are a multitude of ways clients are charged for services. Here the Rate is the charge rate per hour. As far as travel is concerned, you have a choise of charging a fixed time and/or a fixed travel cost. Extra costs can be added in the Travel Costs entry. All of these values will be taken into account when a charge report is made in . BE WARNED: Every visit is unique and the application cannot judge this. So you have to check the report/invoice generated to see if it takes everything into account. The merge function under Fix visit should be used first to merge visits together that belongs together, else duplicate visits will generate more than one report/invoice entry with multiple travel charges. You may just have an angry client complaining about your extra charges. You can select if you want to send the client an email and/or sms after a visit. The global parameters in setup must be enabled for this to happen, and you can override this setting in the save functions. (That is, you can unselect the send functions, but you cannot select it in the save functions when it is not enabled here.) |
The type of client can at this moment be a C for client or P for private. You can make your own categories, but in the report, just C type clients will be reported on. If this function was not used to add the info about a client, it will be assumed to be a C type client.
